Day 1 :Marrakech city tour
At 9:30 in your hotel/riad, the local guide set off on a morning tour of the old medina, through the bustling souks that are the lifeblood flowing through the city. Explore tranquil courtyards filled with the scent of orange blossom, and the many salons and chambers that make up Bahia Palace; This splendid mansion was built in 1866 for a former slave who rose to power within the government. Continue to the Marrakech Museum, itself a former palace, which houses a fine collection of Moroccan art and sculpture. Stop by the” Koutoubia Mosque”; its famous minaret is the prototype for others of its kind around the world, including La Giralda in Seville. Then walk back through the streets of the old medina to the” Jemaa el Fna”. The rest of the day is free to explore further or shop in the bazaar. Perhaps visit the tropical gardens of the French painter Jacques Majorelle or check out the ruins of the” Palais Badi”, once one of the most beautiful palaces in the world. Otherwise, perhaps head back into the medina, where every step brings a new smell, a new sight or a new gift to buy. Watch skilled artisans perfect their craft, practice your haggling skills or take a break from the hustle to sip on tea or share a Tajine, filled with the pure scent of Moroccoin the eveningyou have option to back to your hotel or enjoying your time in” Jemaa elfna” square.
Day 2 – MARRAKECH– AIT BENHADDOU – OUARZAZATE – SEKOURA
After your breakfast, greet at your hotel with your driver we set off in a comfortable private A/C Vehicule; for our circular 5 days desert and culture trip , through the Saharan landscapes of Erg chebbi ;“dune desert”, Our first visits include : High Atlas mountains, discover traditional Berber villages , drive up the spectacular Tichka Pass 2260m high, we drive down the valleys to Ait Benhadou ; “hollywood of africa “, a walk to discover the Kasbah where Gladiator, Game of thrones, Lawrence of Arabia and many other global moveies were shot, learn about the beautiful berber Archeticture, Lunch in a local restaurant and set off for Ouarzazate Largest saharan center,”the door of desert” , Visit the Cinema Museum, opportunity to shop in a super Market…
Getting to Ouarzazate ; is a city situated in the middle of a bare plateau, south of the High Atlas Mountains. It is mainly inhabited by Berbers, who constructed many of the prominent kasbahs and building for which the area is known. One of those building is” Taourirt Kasbah” diverted in 17th century.
this town is nicknamed as Hollywood of Africa; Simply because it has been noted as a film-making location, with Morocco’s biggest studios inviting many international film companies to shoot their movies like: Lawrence of Arabia (1962), The Living Daylights (1987), The Last Temptation of Christ (1988), The Mummy (1999), Gladiator (2000), Kingdom of Heaven (2005), Martin Scorsese’s Kundun (1997) and Babel (2005).
We continue to “Amridil Kasbah”; the famous acient buildings in sekoura oasis; wich build back to the 17th century, you’ll have a guided visit of this kasbah, to get more informations about it, overnight at sekoura .
After enjoying breakfast We start the day by a visit to the spectacular” Todra” valley and Gorge, the most spectacular palm valley and Canyon in the Sahara, walk in the gorges and photo opportunities,after that we drive to” El khorbat” village for lunchin same village, we will visit an old underground irrigation channels dating app to 12 to 17 Century, discover this magical irrigation system, get you some scarves for the Sahara & we then cross ” Sijilmassa” , morocco’s king ancestors town”rissani”, famous for being the most important Caravans Carrefour along the history, and then we continue our Day 3 of our Saharan exploration as we make our way through the far reaches of Morocco’s eastern perimeter to within 20km of Algeria’s border where we encounter the magnificent” Erg Chebbi “dune landscape. Morocco’s most famous Saharan dunes is just breathtaking and transforming to the soul. On foot or camel back you have the option to travel into the remote dunes until our Nomadic style camp hidden in the dunes. An evening sunset climb to one of the higher dunes is customary followed by dinner and perhaps a campfire experience and Berber songs and storytelling can be arranged , include breakfast and dinner , accommodation in a desert camp.
Day 4: Sahara desert- alnif – Agdez
We wake up early morning to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, one of the best moment of Merzouga desert, after you will be followed by a delicious breakfast in the Auberge afer you ride camels back, opportunity to take shower and start your journey back from Merzouga dunes to Agdez via Tazarine and the Draa valley; the longest valley in Morocco famous for Being Moroccan Dates Basket, Locals grow more than 11 type of dates, enjoy this mystical landscapes along the Caravan formal route, we cross the Anti Atlas Mountains to Join Ait Sawn Sectacular view and Canyon,. You will have free time for lunch on the way before you will continue to agdez ,overnight in berber kasbah/hotel.
Day 5: Agdez-Marrakech
After breakfast you’ll have 2 hours of walking with berber local guid to discover osis palm tree and a berber village besides having an idea about simple berber life then returne to kasbah /hotel to have shower before getting back to Marrakech, where your tour from Marrakech to Merzouga ends,you’ll have break time for lunch in the road then You will cross again the Tizi N’Tichka pass and Atlas the Berber villages between Ouarzazate and Marrakech.
